Genesis: Santa brought the game for Christmas 2003 and we haven't been able to stop playing it since. In February of 2004, I started searching the web looking for tips I could use when building my zoos - things other people had done to keep guests and animals happy, manage attendance and make a profit. Imagine my surprise when I found a whole world of Zoo Tycoon communities and information. I had no idea it was such a popular, well-loved game. I started compiling a list of hints from various websites, as well as my own, and before very long had a 20+ page document filled with data. I figured, what the heck, I'll add my voice to the chorus and set up a website, too.
The Game: Zoo Tycoon allows your imagination to run wild as you care for land, aquatic and prehistoric animals in the most beautiful and vibrant zoo conceivable. Challenge your inner zookeeper and join the pack of players who cannot get enough of this family-friendly simulation game!
The game comes loaded with several different tutorials and scenarios, as well as with several diverse freeform game platforms. Dinosaur and Marine expansion packs make for more than
100 available species (land, aquatic and prehistoric), plus many web fansites offer user-created content, both animals and buildings, compatible with the game to enhance your zoo-building experience.
